New York Citys ulu is not your average improvisational palindrome. Their name may read the same in either direction, but their new release on Harmonized Records captures exponential growth and is certainly all about moving forward. Nerve is the bands fourth release, and it showcases a vast array of fresh studio material focusing on well-crafted arrangements and creative elaboration. With Scott Chasolen on keys, Josh Dion on drums, Brian Killeen on bass, and Aaron Gardner on tenor saxophone and flute, the ulu sound is more concise and cohesive than ever.
